Should you buy Reliance shares after Q4 results? Check target price

Reliance Industries Share Price: Reliance Industries shares will be in focus after the company announced its Q4FY25 results, reporting a 2.4 percent YoY increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 19,407 crore, beating street estimates. On Friday, Reliance closed flat at Rs 1,300.40 apiece from the previous close of Rs 1,301.60. In comparison, the BSE Sensex was down 0.74 percent at 79,212.53. Over the last one year, Reliance has underperformed the sector, Nifty 50, Sensex, and industry.

Reliance Industries is a large-cap company with a market cap of Rs 17.614 trillion, operating in the energy sector. Reliance Industries’s key products/revenue segments are oil to chemicals, retail, digital services, oil and gas, and others.

Reliance Q4 Results: Reliance Industries reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 19,407 crore in Q4 FY25, up 2.4 percent year-on-year. Revenue for the quarter was Rs 264,000 crore, a 10 percent increase. The oil-to-chemicals segment saw EBITDA decline 10 percent due to lower transportation fuel margins. Jio Platforms’ net profit rose 25.7 percent to Rs 7,022 crore, supported by a 13.5 percent increase in ARPU to Rs 206 and the addition of 6.1 million subscribers. Reliance Retail delivered a net profit of Rs 3,545 crore, up 29 percent, on revenue of Rs 78,622 crore, a 16.3 percent rise, and opened 1,085 new stores during the quarter.

For FY25, gross revenue reached Rs 330,870 crore, up 8 percent. EBITDA was Rs 25,053 crore, a 9 percent increase, with an EBITDA margin of 8.3 percent. Profit after tax stood at Rs 81,309 crore, up 2.9 percent. The board declared a final dividend of Rs 5.50 per equity share. The company reported a capital expenditure of Rs 36,041 crore for Q4. In renewable energy, the company commissioned a gigawatt-scale solar PV module assembly line in Jamnagar, advancing its plan for a 10 GW per annum manufacturing facility.

According to Yahoo Finance, the average target price for the Reliance stock is Rs 1,547.06, implying an upside of 19 percent from current levels. Out of 34 Wall Street analysts, 22 have given it a ‘Buy’ rating, 11 have given an ‘Outperform’ rating, and 1 has recommended ‘Sell’. The consensus recommendation from 34 analysts is ‘Buy’.
