Ventura Securities notes that near-term uncertainty in Tata Elxsi’s two main business segments is likely to affect growth. The automotive segment contributes about 54% of revenue. European OEMs are under pressure from growing competition by Chinese companies, made worse by China’s restrictions on rare earth exports, which affect the supply of key materials for EVs. The media and communications segment, which contributes around 32%, is impacted by client M&A activity, leading to cautious R&D spending.
The stock has reversed after facing resistance at the 0.5 fib retracement level, which is also a major supply zone. The recent price movement has been weak, with the 50 DMA below the 200 DMA, and trading volumes have declined.
Ventura expects the price to fall toward near-term support at Rs 5,956. Based on a 1-year forward P/E of 38.4x FY26E, the stock is valued at Rs 5,260, which is a downside of 19.4% from the current market price.
